NHS Stadium Day #2
1 August 2014 from 5:30pm - 8:30pm
P.O.C. Andy White & Ed Webb
-Pressure washing being completed by Larry from Power-Tech – 449-5141. Will be doing both sides of stadium seating
-Clean up trash around and under stadium, practice field, and area around field house. Empty all trash cans into dumpster located by baseball field.
-Pull weeds where needed but pay attention to Ian Lockwood and Alumni brick area.
-Hang goal post flags located in Coach Walls office. Will need lift to complete task. Lift will come from East River Smoke house or Ready Rent.
-Take down both Navarre Lumber signs and the football sign on ticket booth and give to Melanie Jones or Brigitte Brahms to replace and refurbish.
-Clean out and organize room located by drinking fountains by bathrooms.
-Organize field equipment needed. Do inventory and make note of any equipment needed and needs to be replaced. Locate and count number of traffic cones on hand. Mark any that belong to NRQBC.
-Paint cheerleading section. This area will be located in the row in front of the “no seating” row in front of NRQBC seating. The coaches would like a total of 4 seats in length. The area should be lined up with the 50 yd. line with 2 seat length on either side. The area should be painted maroon, black or white and cheer be identified.
-Check all stadium seats for functionality and if broken make note and repair if needed.
-Pressure wash walkways and any others areas besides stadium seating that volunteers have time for but not required.
-Get a list of all volunteers that attended.
2014 NRQBC Goals
-New Equipment Wish List to improve skills, technique and provide safety- Gauntlet Blaster, Live Capture Game Technology, weight room chains, low hurdles, tug of war ropes, ladders, 5lb and 10lb slam balls, 10 Offensive line knee braces ( DonJoy or McDavid), Team Evo Shield Rib shirts, Gatoraide water station, Extra equipment travel trunk.
-Improve condition of fields - practice and stadium field
-Purchase new home game varsity uniforms
-Provide healthy pre and post game meals, snacks, and electrolyte replacement drinks for a total of approximately 145 players (55 Varsity, 40 JV, and 50 Freshman)
